4 OSC Micromoog

via David

"This was a fun project. Dan and I took a Minimoog oscillator board and interfaced it to his Micromoog, making a 4-oscillator Micro!"

  1. Nice!

I'm in the middle of a similar project. I got two mostly-populated Moog Source analog board PCBs off ebay from the same seller. I just recently got them both up to speed. Now I'm combining them into a single 4 osc monosynth.

My biggest dilemmas are how much of a mod matrix to do: the Source lends itself really well to a lot of cross-modulation because EVERY internal CV (except the LFO and keyboard) and even the OSC waveforms are a simple 0-10V. And almost all the main CV's have buffers (since they used to be controlled by a DAC), so interfacing and loading are already somewhat managed.
