Emu EMAX II vs Emax I (1 of 3)
YouTube via DX5
"Technical video (not cover). Just checking the differences between the EMAX II (at 39 Khz, digital filters) and the Emax I (28 Khz, analog filters) sampling the same source.
* The sampled source is Depeche Mode "Stories of Old". It was used for technical purposes only, and its lenght doesn't exceed 8 seconds. The Copyright of this record belongs to EMI Music."
Emu EMAX II vs Emax I (2 of 3)
" Technical video (not cover).
I loaded Emax I samples into both machines, and checked the playback sound. The EMAX II sounds darker, maybe due to emax I samples conversion for being played on its more advanced engine."
Emu EMAX II vs Emax I (3 of 3)
"Techical video (not cover, It does mean if you don't want to watch someone desperately hitting keys, tweaking buttons and doing NIAA AAO OOOOU UUU UUUu um mmmm muuu OOOOAA AAIIIIIIII with a keyboard, stop it :)
This is what you get when you load an Emax I sample disk into an EMAX II, and check what does it happen with the different filters (SSM Analog on the Emax I, digitally chip based on the EMAX II)."
