stop imitating start innovating
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's not his goal? Maybe that is his hobby, just playing other people's songs.... and he's content/happy with that.
ReplyDeleteNot everyone can be innovative.... Innovation in music seems to be an extremely rare commodity.
this kid is dope. i've seen him do another cover (human league?) wearing a trench coat... haha he rules so hard! someone needs to start a band with him pronto.
ReplyDeleteMost people learn how to play by learning their favorite songs, it's no biggie. This is a solid version.

ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with covers, at least he picked a good song to do.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I would say is that when trying to do a 'carbon copy' type cover (which seems to be what he's aiming for), it's a good idea to play/programme the same notes as the original. He's got the first melody that comes in and plays throughout most of the song wrong, it's pretty much the basis of that tune. As a huge DM fan I'd say it kind of spoils what was otherwise a good effort.
