    This Fairlight was used on quite a few of this massive list of commercial recordings of Shane Keister's from AllMusic.com

    Can someone explain why this primitive sample player costs so much, aside from nostalgia. I bet I can get superior results with some of the free plugins available today. Just don't get it.

    its much more than a sampler. for example it is an additive synth, where you can draw harmonics directly on the screen in realtime with a light pen. name me plug in that you can do that on!
