I was thinking what a cool thing this would be to have, then I went to the auction and saw the asking price. $10,000. No joke. Lotsa luck to the seller, when brand-new DSI and Moog instruments can be had for so much less. I wonder what offers the seller will get.
ReplyDeleteThat's sort of a ridiculous analogy. Just because a new Lexus can be had for $40K does not mean a Model-T should not be able to fetch more. It's a collectors item, and it will be bought by a collector who may be willing to pay $10K for this extremely rare synth.
ReplyDeletei hope the collector plugs it in and plays it at least once in awhile, hehe =) beautiful synth, i'm sure it sounds just as nice as it looks, 10,000 is too rich for my wallet
ReplyDeleteEh, doesn't look like a model T, more like old VW Beetle, if they were to make the "clear" version lol.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it ended with BIN. I'm surprised as the Vemia one was in better shape and went for less than half the BIN amount. Another odd thing, I couldn't figure out who the buyer was; has Ebay changed its routine? How do you know that its a real purchase and not a ploy to drive up the price for a private sale?
