  1. Apparently the Droid-3 is along the same lines. Seems they have a thing about cheap digital synths in Denmark. :)

Anyone know which DSPs / MCUs are being used in these critters?

  2. Something weird is going on with the deMoon production. Originally it was announced in three versions -- hand assembled w/external input, hand assembled sans input, and a 'common' mass produced version with an introductry price of 200 Euro.

Without warning the 'common' version has completely disappeared and all references to it have been removed from Gotharman and their German affilate store's sites. Several emails to Gotharman and their affilate went unanswered and I'm left wondering if the synth I reserved will actually appear.

I definitely understand that Gotharman is a small company and the success of this product could make or break them, but I think they need to communicate with their customers better.

In the meantime the DSI Tetra has appeared and it seems to cover a lot of the same territory (I'm aware of the differences though: DSP vs analog and the filterbank is the real drawing card for the deMoon). It's looking mighty tempting and with no word from Gotharman I think they may have lost a sale.
