He's a very nice person. He actually took the time to listen to my music and left comments! After seeing that, I just sat there and staired at his comments for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's being in a state of awe.... most of the greatest sound programs I've ever heard are from the PPG Wave 2... I think most of you can relate.
ReplyDeleteBy far some of my favorite synth sounds ever. I wish someone (Waldorf) would make a new fully featured wavetable synth with analog filters. Ideally one based on the Wave/Microwave engine, as opposed to the MicroQ based Blofeld.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that what the Stromberg is supposed to be? Although, I'm starting to doubt the Stromberg will happen. I'd just love to have a PPG Wave 2.3 in good working order but I'm definately open to new Stromberg. It would be awesome if Mr. Palm helped make the Waldorf Stromberg!!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised Rush isn't listed here more then they have been. To me the Power Windows album was just loaded with the most awesome PPG sounds ever! Mystic Rhythms has some of the best PPG wave sounds, along with The Big Money, Grand Designs, Territories, Manhattan Project, Marathon.... ok the whole album! I know Andy Richards and Jim Burgess (Saved By Technology) did a lot of sound programming for Rush.... which makes me wonder why they haven't made it on here either? Andy even played additional keyboards on the album too.
ReplyDeleteTo hear the PPG Wave 2.3 at one of it's finest moments ever, including Rush :D, go here
