  1. I used to own one of these - what a hunk of sh!t... all form, no function. From buggy implementation, to virtually non-existant documentation in Chinglish, to horrible quality of components and keys that would scratch your fingers if you happened to hit it wrong way - it reeeeeeked. Not to mention the shittiest keybed this side of consumer grade components. I've played better Cassio keys in Best Buy.

There's one that's been sitting in my local GC for the last 1.5 years - if you see it, say I said hello (it was mine). ON the other hand, no, just walk on by.

  2. +1
I gave mine back to the shop after 2 days of nonsense. It came broken in the sealed factory packing, I tried and tried to install the drivers, it never worked out and I couldn't even run that damn thing with my software at all.

  3. Did either of yours come with the Plugiator ASX? Curious how that was as far as use and sound.

  4. Wasn't available at the time... I wouldn't hold out much hope for it though. I mean c'mon - we're talking an add-on DSP module without all the horsepower of the full-fledged CPU. I don't hold out much hope for it. I'd rather use PC + some other controller with better quality components.

  5. Quite harsh :) The keyboard works fine for me and the Plugiator has a very respectable sound and performance, as good or better than any software synth I've heard. A very nice polyphonic MiniMoog, DX7, and prophet emulation, vocoder, bass and drums; all very nice and "phat". Drivers install fine, works great with Sonar. No scratchy keys on this one, very smooth and nice action. It's just way overkill for my needs.
