Can't go anywhere with the D50 without a PG1000!
ReplyDeleteThen it becomes an incredibly fun digital polysynth with analog-style interface
I can see where this would be much faster for programming but I never had any issues with the D-50's programming matrix. I guess some people found it confusion?
ReplyDeleteWell, to my opinion, the lack of interface makes it much too opaque for serious programming!
ReplyDeleteD-50 is not confusing it's just a pain. the LFO structure is fairly powerful but the parameters are spread across four distantly placed menus making it extremely tedious to adjust. PG-1000, although far from perfect, is easier in this respect because all the controls are right there.
