Casio RZ-1 with TR-808/909 DMX eprom + more
YouTube via wotatwaat
"This is a fully functional Casio RZ-1 with several extra features. The eproms have been changed so now there are 4 different kits. There is a TR-909 kit, TR-808 kit, DMX kit and the original RZ-1 kit. As well as this there are 2 pitch controls, 1 controls the first 8 sounds, the second the last 4 sounds and the 4 samples. There are 3 6 position rotary switches which give various distorted, flangey, glitchy effects. There are also 2 tone controls for the samples."

picked up up an RZ-1 recently. would love to have eproms for it.
ReplyDeleteI did a memory mod on my RZ to enable 8 extra sample banks (2 x 4 banks) to enable real time sound switching.
ReplyDeleteAlso put in a switch to kill the metronome.
Maybe we could swap ideas, I'd like to implement pitch mods.
