Chroma Polaris Analog Synthesizer

via these auctions
"1984 Chroma Polaris Rev. 9 Analog synthesizer Differences in the Rev. 5 and Rev. 9 synths: The Rev. 9 has a better feeling keyboard. It is also less prone to software glitches in my experience. The Rev. 5 has nicer sliders which have an extra 4 solder joints.

What’s been done:
20 new sliders were installed. As a preventative measure, the flat ribbon cables have been trimmed. There's a lot of internet lore about these cables so I've included some photos of the procedure on the Rev. 5 I'm selling. It’s been cleaned, calibrated and has a new memory battery.

What’s it capable of:
All the sliders transmit midi, so you can record filter sweeps and whatnot on the fly. The sound is completely voltage controlled analog, and it can play 3 patches at once. The Polaris uses 6 CEM 3372 VCFs and 6 very hard to find CEM 3374 VCO chips. These are also used in classic synths like the Oberheim Xpander and the Sequential Circuits Prophet VS/600/T8.
