"True love" by Danielle (TSF)
YouTube via TheSynthFreq. previous post
"Hi! This is a new composition written 2.5.2010. The background track was written track by track on the Yamaha Motif 6 synthesizer. I recorded to 5 tracks in it's sequencer, recording in real time.
Track 1: Rhodes
Track 2: Bass
Track 3: Jazz drum kit
Track 4: Background strings
Track 5: Bongos (jazz kit)
The Organ patch was played on the Roland D-50. This is a "rock organ" type sound that I made only using 4 square waves and just the chorus filter unit in the D-50. No LFOs were used in the TVF or TVA. The organ "tremolo" sound is really the chorus unit at moderate speed at the max value of saturation.
The lead patch is my usual Roland Alpha Juno-1 E-guitar patch with a little EQ in the higher frequencies for clarity in the mix.
PLEASE ENJOY!
:) TSF"

I really don't like this kind of music but I admire your musician talent wich is impressive ! ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery nice song. It has a bit of an electro soul vibe.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteFunny - totally agree with Philippe and still checking whos original song this is - its very familiar def not YOUR own composition.......
ReplyDeleteHi this is the TheSynthFreq here. Thanks to MatrixSynth for posting my video on his awesome site. Thank you very much.:) Also this is an original composition. Composed by me a few days ago. I have written music for 20 years. I only write original compositions, no one elses work. The only cover I have ever played was G.Moroder's "chase", an awesome song by him. Other wise, just me and my synths.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day everyone. :)
I loved this piece. Motivated me to check out some of your other work. You are very talented. Silly that you should have to explane yourself. You already wrote that this was a "new compostion".
ReplyDeleteI'm studying music theory and playing synths and hope to be as comfortable on keys as you are some day.
Hi! This is to (Curve Theory), yes I totally agree with you there. It is kind of shocking that someone would insist that my song is not mine, when I wrote it, note for note, mistakes and all. I have a Motif 6 synthesizer smart media card with all my files dated to "prove it". LOL
ReplyDeleteI have written music for 20 years, copywritten work, and I am never short of musical ideas everyday, there would be no need to play someone else's work. Anyway, I am proud of my little song and will defend it if I have to. LOL
Anyway, thanks for your comment. I think its AWESOME that your studying music theory and synths. Keep up the great work and have fun! I love synthesis theory, I love to study Linear Arthmetic (d-50), analogue subtractive, phase distortion and FM synthesis. Sometimes I wish I had some kind of lessons when I was younger so that I could write out my music on paper, but maybe one day I can go to a school of music and learn the technical side to music. I wish you all the best with everything and just do what I did and play everyday, twice a day, year after year and the keys will be so familiar that you, you can just sit at your synth or piano and write whatever is on your mind. Not everyone will like everything you write, and the creative process is not always as easy as one would like, but even so, if music is all you can think about with hundreds of ideas going through your mind all day everyday, than I'm sure you are meant to be a musician/composer. I have never gone a day in 20 years without either writing/composing songs or working on synthesis and sound design. I am addicted for life! :)
Have fun with everything keep posting how you are doing! Take care :) TSF (Danielle)
Thanks for the incouragement, Danielle! I do indeed have the bug. It's a tad frustrating though, because my ideas surpass my skill level for the time being. I am dillignet though. I insist on learning to read and write thoroughly as I'm learning to play.
ReplyDeleteI have a Moog Little Phatty, Alesis Micron, Yamaha TG55 and a M-Audio Keystation Pro 88. Also have a friend's E-MU XL-7 and Yamaha MU80 that he isn't using anymore. Fun toys.
Be well!
Will share soon.
