"All 3 types of the 259 complex waveform generator offered by Buchla and Associates over the years. All though they share the same number , they are very different from each other."

  3. You have a 259 and the older and newer OS and panel graphics for the 259e, so the original vintage one is undeniably quite different from the others. I wouldn't say the Complex version and Twisted update of the 259e are very different to that kind of degree. It's more like a major feature being added at a small expense of fewer waveshaper table choices. Aside from the panel graphic changes one can upgrade and downgrade the OS software and functionally have either version. Yeah, I wouldn't mind a 259.

  4. You are correct tuesday. The new and old "e" versions are not as different from each other as the purely analog 259 is. Actually , the 261e is way more similar to the original 259. Similar , not the same. I just got the twisted 259e and was surprised as to how different it feels from the original 259e.
