"This never saw the light of day but thought you may be interested
Within a week of TB-303 being released in New Zealand we went into the studio and decided to make a couple of tracks for a EP that just featured this great machine--just drummcahine + TB-303
recorded at Mandrill---MCI 24 track --Trident desk----AMS reverb
The record company was horrified and refused to put it out"
Or was it CHARANJIT SINGH - Synthesizing: TEN RAGAS TO A DISCO BEAT - india 1982

ReplyDeleteIt is a cool groove, but it gets old fast - you should have done something more with it, like other synths, vocals... something.
ReplyDeleteZara dood that not the point.
ReplyDeleteFantastic sound on that. I absolutely love the subtle use. Class forever.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing you have to consider is the TB-303 was supposed to be a replacement for a bass guitar at the time. No one was thinking of acid.
ReplyDeleteExactly. These days music is very often based on sound, It's timeless. For more than historical documentation reasons. I think this is a significant find.
ReplyDeleteSome Indian Bolywood producer beat ya to it:
