ESI-32, Evolver and XBase 888 (Jam)
YouTube via rithmus | April 30, 2009 | 7:34
"Recorded directly from Yamaha 01v96 with their own reverbs and compressors, no final remastering. The XBase was sequenced in pattern mode (parameter locks), and has my own samples edited for 8bits. Samples are hihats, congas, ride, snare and clap. Bassdrum is the main Jomox analog BD. Pad is a sampled string played on ESI-32. FX-Bass comes from Evolver."
TOMs Vs. PADs (XBase Vs. ESI-32)
"One midi track on XBase is sequencing ESI-32. At the same time I'm playing chords on it. Clicks & pops are caused that "mutes" doesn't mute the sequencer notes. It mutes the instrument sound channel only. Sampled wave on ESI-32 playing with LFO and VCF. Toms on XBase are analog. Snare, Congas, Shaker, Rimshot & Hihats are 8bit samples. Phased Hihat comes from Machinedrum. Recorded directly from Yamaha 01v96 with their own reverbs and compressors, no final mastering."
