  1. Interesting as a sample playback controller but not necessarily an instrument, in the traditional meaning. Though I think that instrument rquires a fluid definition when it comes to electronic music systems. Those looking for and creating new interfaces have to keep in mind that the one type of sound creation device will require a specific human interface. The need to reproduce specific pitches in a scale necessitates one type of controller and a music that is not a structured allows for others. Maybe, rather than looking for one new controller we can embrace any of them, a system of modular controllers, that be assembled to suit the needs of the performer at the time, doesn't sound like a bad thing to me. My 0.02.
