This seller's "buy it now" price of $699 is at least double what this synth should go for. The DX7 sold more than 100,00 units. That's 10 times what the average vintage synth sold. There are plenty out there. The DX7II corrected many of the original DX7's weaknesses, namely upgrading fidelity to 16 bit and improving patch storage and midi implementation. I saw a DX7II on craigslist with an asking price of $400. If you want DX7 sounds, do yourself a favor and get a DX7II or DX7IIFD (floppy disc).
