Synthwerks Desktop Controller

Click the image for the full size shot. via ersatzplanet on Muff's:
"I made a sweet little desktop controller using just Schroff rails and some hand cut plexiglas end panels. Instead of a power bus board I just made a ribbon cable with a bunch of connectors on it. I then made a panel that bused the PS from one of my main cases and also carried over 4 lines to the main case (I used 7-pin DIN connectors). Two of the lines are normalized to the Doepfer CV and Gate buses. A thin Formica panel is slid in the rear grooves and works great. The Tip-top rails can be easily adapted to do the same thing though they are not as deep so panels may have to be made for the exposed edges. I have enough rails left over to make a slanted 6U version next. A cheap source for these rails in the US (at low quantities) is really appreciated. Gur will make a mint off these [see this post]. Especially if he also starts selling a power supply."
