Here at Analog Outfitters, we specialize in repairing and rebuilding vintage electronic instruments. In this case we recapped the whole unit. This required about 3 hours and over 30 caps. We only replaced the electrolytic type that fail with age, not any of the "coupling" caps that can impart good tone. We cleaned all the pots and faders and gave the inside a thorough cleaning. One problem that many instruments have is dirty interconnects between boards. In this case we cleaned all of those contacts and the unit sounds excellent!!! We have included a picture of the boards after they have been recapped. This procedure greatly improves the low end in any piece of gear and makes everything sound punchier."
