Too bad the specific power consumption of EDM is so high...nice to see synth manufacturers starting to throw around "environmentally friendly" for their own benefit (don't get me started on plastic grocery bags! GRR!). In the end, the customer ends up paying for this expensive manufacturing technique that's usually reserved for prototyping. I'm guessing the production run for the OP-1 isn't large enough to warrant a larger scale manufacturing technique.
