"PRISTINE Yamaha DX5 FM synth with 32 voices and 2 built in DX7's ! It shares more similarity however with the DX1 ....It is basically and more affordable version ( the DX5 still sold for £3000 new in 1985 !! YES ! that was the equivilent to at least £20,000 today ! )
...It is built like a tank to the highest standards....SOLID metal construction. They simply don't make synths of this quality anymore ! It has balanced studio outputs aswell as jack connections.... It has all the great circuitry and pure signal path of the DX1 !"

it's not mega rare, but i will say i really miss mine (it was a bit beat up so i sold it, i planned on getting a nicer one in the future but unfortunately that hasn't happened yet.) check out "what does this button do?" on my site, in the music 2000-2004 section to hear what one of these things can sound like.
ReplyDeleteThis looks fresh out of the box. I think the sy99 beats it for sound and of course the dx1
