Kawai spectra m25 acid mix

YouTube via FrostedRadioLight | August 31, 2010

"Early 90's cheesy demo of the kawai spectra ? The sounds are 100% spectra presets , a bit of a favourite synth with detroit and acid house musicians in the early 90's and all over warp records and detroit releases.

The spectra cant help but sound like the demo , the sounds are all presets but with some work you can get some beautifull glassy and ethereal pads .In comparison to the k1 / k4 and k5000 i find the spectra has a more organic tone and seems to be able to nail the 90's much easier and this early rave and detroit sound , not sure why but it does.

If i had to have one synth for detroit techno or rave music it would be this one without a doubt.

Dedicated to the days of m25 orbital parties , free festivals and revolution in the uk."

"1 x kawai spectra synthesizer as used by all the great detroit techno artists of the day .

The kawai spectra is a bit of a hidden gem.I will be the first to admit its not that deep on some levels , no granular quadrant lfos and angular spacial refractors in here and its not ' anal - logue but it remains a very creative machine more for its tone and character. If your into retro rave and synth music , detroit techno and all things related to these genres the spectra you will love...

Please note the synth does not come with anything to do with larry haggman [Dallas' JR] or a large dog but it seems appropriate at the time to include the shot."

  1. Just dusted off my Spectra (bought ~4 years ago). Any chance of postning that video to youtube again?
