Roland MC-8 MicroComposer Analog Sequencer

via this auction
"Before the MC-4, Roland released the MC-8 sequencer. They are a bit different: while the MC-4 has more memory and an interface which leverages software control a but more, the MC-8 has more outputs and some features which support analog modulars a bit more (to my opinion, anyway). They both have that bang on, rock solid timing which is still missing from MIDI and so they are a critical component to certain old school vibes. This particular model of sequencer is behind many classic electronic tracks, perhaps best known as a preferred "axe" of Giorgio Moroder.

The top of the chassis was designed badly by Roland from an aesthetic perspective: un-primered medal painted with gray paint. As such, some of the paint has chipped away. This of course does not affect functionality, and a weekend spent with a screwdriver, sand paper, primer and paint could remedy this if you're restoration-minded.

Included also is the original manual - very hard to find.

The shipping cost is a bit higher than expected because it is built like a *tank*. The MC-8 is VERY heavy, and I intend to ship it and the interface module in separate boxes so that they do not interact in a bad way during shipping. ;-]

This auction includes:
- Roland MC-8 Sequencer
- Roland MC-8 Interface Module
- Roland MC-8 Interface Bus Cable
- Roland MC-8 Factor Manual (not a reprint!)"
