"A demonstration of my Roland VP-330 that is listed for sale on eBay. This amazing (RARE!) choir/string/vocoder was used along with the Yamaha CS80 on Vangelis's epic Blade Runner soundtrack.
This is the rare and superior Mark 1 version.
This video was shot on my cell phone, which along with YouTube's compression, kind of murdered the lush sound of this instrument. Sorry."
"This is truly a rare gem. The VP-330 combined the best of Roland's vocoder and string technology with a one-of-a-kind choir synth. The sound of the VP-330 can be heard on Vangelis's Blade Runner soundtrack, along with the incredible Yamaha CS80 synth. There were two version of the VP-330, the Mark 1 and Mark 2, and the original version of this instrument is the one to get! They're rarer and they sound better - do your research and you'll see for yourself."
