NAMM Intermission: Yamaha SY77 Demo Song: "Axel F"

YouTube via derekaggs11 | January 13, 2011 |
Finally time for some non-NAMM posts, and we'll start with this one.

video description from YouTube:
"My new synth! This is my first attempt at sequencing on the SY77. Forgive the messiness, I've had this thing for only a day. This uses only factory presets."

Update:

Yamaha SY77 Demo Song: "Portraits"

derekaggs11 | January 13, 2011 |

"The sequencer on this synth is pretty intuitive - I've already made my first original song in a few short hours. Unfortunately, I have to make the song in one sitting since the SY77 can't store any songs internally and my floppy drive is in need of a new belt. As soon as I switch it off, all sequences are cleared. Dig the DX7 bass ;)"

  1. If this were 1987, I would be totally stoked by this video. It is not.
