Almost all Chroma Polaris boards have a problem where over time this plastic becomes brittle and cracks... Hence no more working membrane buttons!
I have performed a "ribbon mod" on this board. There is really no standard way to do this. I've seen some people drill holes through the top of the board and add physical buttons, but then the board isn't original and doesn't have the original feel or look. I used standard (not to mention modern) flat Cat5 cable and standard Cat5 connectors to make an incredibly stable mod.
Other than the mod, the board is in very good cosmetic condition. No major flaws or scratches. The original wood sides are in great shape. All jacks have been tested thoroughly, and work perfectly (including the MIDI in and out/thru!)."
I need this mod done for my chroma polaris. Can anyone direct me to someone who can fix my patch panel problem or some more info on what i need to do it myself. Thanks
