"if you are familiar with these remix samplers/synthesizers – one is made in Japan (DJ-70), the other in Italy (DJ-70 MK II) – the construction is drastically different between the two, best way to describe is one is well built (metal) the other (die-cast) not so much...

For starters it has a cool little disc for ‘spinning’ your samples ‘the infamous scratch dial, resample onboard, has large waveform editing screen,– both have been upgraded with full memory. the DJ-70 with Maximum : 4 mb, the MK II with Maximum : 32 mb. Also the MK II has the Built-in SCSI port and headphones have an independent volume control. Also Compatible with Roland 700-Series and Akai S-1000/1100 CD-ROM sample libraries, 8 assignable pads, Synchronize tempos of multiple drum loops with its BPM adjustment function, 8 track Realtime Phrase Sequencer, also lets you load samples while playing..."

  2. I like how they jumped from $50-$150 to $500+ for absolutely no reason.

    I have a MKI, it looks cool but the UI and failing parts don't exactly excite the creative process. i.e the alpha encoder, scratch wheel and the stop/start button; all went around the same time.
