Symbolic Sound Kyma Capybara 320 Sound Design

via this auction
"Kyma Capybara-320 Basic Configuration (4 processors) + 4-channel audio I/O unit + Firewire + drivers + software

This unit + software was originally purchased for over $4400 (!!) (all receipts included) by its first owner with an extra 4 channel IO card, 2 DSP cards, rack mount kit and quiet fan.

The Kyma Capybara system can be used in many ways:
1-For sound design, complex sounds can be designed and assigned to multiple channels, synched to a timeline, like a score.
2-The unit can be controlled just like a MIDI synth, via the built in MIDI interface. Many types of synthesis are included, such as virtual analog, FM, physical modeling and a many more not available anywhere else.
3-Sounds can also be controlled in realtime using other interfaces such as a stylus tablet."
