"Eowave Persephone suitcase edition... wonderful instrument capable of producing sounds that range from house shaking bass to frequencies above the typical human range of hearing (It can be set to span up to 10 octaves!). The suitcase and desktop version have identical functionality which basically consists of a synthesizer controlled by a 50cm pressure sensitive ribbon and an I/O panel that allows the ribbon to control other devices and other devices with MIDI out or pedals to control the built-in synthesizer.

The suitcase version has the advantage of a top cover which can quickly and securely latch over the real wood control surface to both protect and make the Persephone extremely easy to safely carry around.

The I/O panel supports: MIDI In/Out, CV Out, Pedal In and Audio Out.

This gives the Persephone the ability to take control of your synths and modular system. In case you were wondering about the single CV Out, it accepts a standard Y cable with a TRS plug. This allows you to send the CV output for both the ribbon pressure (ring) and the horizontal ribbon position (tip).

This is a fantastic synth with a very wide range of unique sounds, largely due to the unique ribbon control interface which gives the user the ability to produce and create audio that is not possible with a keyboard or other typical interfaces. Not only does the built-in synth shine on its own, you will be amazed at the new character and sounds that can now be coaxed from any synths in your collection that are CV or MIDI controllable.
