It is sad to watch this pictures. This GS1 is not complete, it is damaged and it seems as if the former owner has thrown it out of the window. Most of the GS1 ended like this. I had a phone call with the former distribution manager of Yamaha and he told me, that only 50 - 100 GS1 have been produced (another source inside Yamaha says 70-80). So you can imagine, that only a few are still existing. Another problem is the magnetic card, which stores the presets. Many of these cards have been lost and without them the GS1 is worthless. So I wonder if there are more than 20 GS1 existing. This one is from Israel. I know one, which has been found in Czech Republic and it was sold to Sweden. The ABBA-GS1 is located at the museum in Goeteborg and the Tastronauten in Germany still have one: www.tastronauten.de
ReplyDeleteDefinitely sad. It's always odd to me that people don't take care of their investments. Then again, maybe this one went to restoring another.
