"The CS-30L is the "learning" version of the Yamaha CS-30.

The CS-30L is one of the most powerful analog synthesizers ever released. The CS-30L has exactly the same sound creation capabilities as the CS-30, with the exception of the simple 8-step sequencer (which is not present on the CS-30L)

The CS-30L has a slightly different panel layout, with more controls on the left-hand side of the panel.

The CS-30L also has a self-contained carry case with included legs for a built-in stand."
