acidlab miami pure sound with adjusted trimpots
YouTube Uploaded by pac209 on Aug 2, 2011
"Like on the TR-808 it is possible to adjust internal trimpots on this machine. There are trimpots for clap length, noise feed/ for overdriving the snare, clap and tom a bit and the cowbell tuning. Basically the machine has all "mod" options available that the original 808 has but some are difficult or impossible to do because the technology on the board is all SMD nowadays...I found the pots inside a pleasant surprise :-)
The basic setting of the miami complies with the Roland 808 service manual, and was also adjusted by ear with a few TR-808s. However the snare and clap sound setting is a little "conservative" and deserves a bit more noise/ overdrive."

@pac209 Thanks for this info! Once you crack open the Miami, are the internal pots obvious where they are?
ReplyDeleteyes they are near the regular cowbell volume pot, you will need a small screwdriver to adjust them
