"Video is an overview of the actual item for sale on eBay [link] to show functional condition of most controls. This is not meant to be a demonstration of the capabilities of this instrument nor a display of programming or musicianship skills."

"Listing is for an extremely rare EML Electrocomp 100 synthesizer. Less than 100 were ever manufactured and far fewer than that remain today. This is one of the best examples of this early synth I've ever seen (even the original handle is in great condition) and it is unmodified. It appears to have been built in early 1971 and was Electronic Music Labs second synthesizer product manufactured.

Things you will notice (also demonstrated in the video):
1. The volume decreases a bit when you turn up the resonance but I believe this to be normal. (The resonance waveform looks great on an oscilloscope.)
2. The filter is more subtle/smooth (6dB/octave?) compared to later analog synths.
3. The keyboard is in very good shape considering its age but a couple of the keys sometimes periodically waver. It is a Minimoog-type Pratt-Reed keyboard assembly and I have no doubt this can be fixed with an adjustment, cleaning, etc.
4. A couple of the pots are best left in between their very farthest extreme positions.
5. Wear and tear typical of a 40 year-old instrument (see pics).
6. Idiosyncrasies (such as #4 above) typical of a 40 year-old electronic instrument."
