MiniMoog Voyager XL Demo - 3 Pieces - By Andy Barrow

YouTube Uploaded by MrRidgebackman on Nov 2, 2011

"3 Part Demonstration of my Beloved MiniMoog Voyager XL. 2 Melodic and one noise (the usual old school twiddling on a Synth this style). I originally put this up soon after I got the MiniMoog Voyager XL and for some reason had an issue with the copyright (that will teach me not to play around too much on here - Note too self - Stay away from the Copyright section!!!!).

All recorded separately and then mixed in Cubase, some sequenced via MIDI, some were played/Recorded and tracks laid down in Cubase (last part of this compilation)

Everything you hear on this compilation is the XL, using some of the presets, some tweaked, some using the Patch Panel and a nice two osc square wave carved from scratch (last part). Some subtle processing in Cubase to polish off the performance

The image is of course the Patch Panel on the Voyager XL and can change the way you play and create in endless ways.

This synth never ceases to amaze me. It can produce the slightest sound to a full on Destroy a Speaker cab. There are many synths I could have bought for the price the Voyager cost me, but having grown up with these sounds carved into my brain, I could not let this one by (thanks to the sale of our house else I would still be drooling). Yes I could have bought an Oasys (not another Korg menu to fight with), Yamaha XS/XF, Roland G8 and whatever else is in this price bracket and got more bang for my buck (feature wise), I have always wanted a Moog (Big fat Modular System 55 or similar would have been awesome), so I had to have one. Not that the Slim Phatty I own doesn't count, as that thing rocks too.

So one more attempt at getting this video up and hopefully keep it on here. Enjoy. It won't get nominated for any awards, its simply a demonstration of what this Synth sounds like, what it can do (limited only by myself).

Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy"
