Crumar Bit 99 - Vintage Polyphonic Synthesizer On the Sidewalk

via this auction

"This is a very warm sounding analogue synth with digitally controlled oscilators. It's great for pads/strings/basses but at the same time is also capable of sounding very 'digital/FM' like.

It has a certain uniqueness to its sounds which I think is down an unusual 'summing' that happens between the oscillators whenever you play a key, i.e. you can hit the same note in succession and the tone can change slightly on each key press. It is touch sensitive and the keyboard can be split or layered to play 2 different patches, although this does reduce the 6 voice polyphony to 3 for each patch."

Hmm... Anyone know if there is anything unique in regards to the Bit 99?
