"This is a Serge/Milton 16x4 analog sequencer, in a 19" rack unit with Serge-standard banana jacks. It is in amazing condition and is one of only 45 units manufactured. Fully working and has been in use in my studio by myself and other musicians for the past three years. It was purchased new.
If you're not familiar with what an analog sequencer for a modular synthesizer does, I would ask that you not bid on this item. It's a fantastically powerful sequencer, the best I've ever used (only selling due to studio changes) but that means nothing to you if you don't have other gear to use it with. It will not make its own sound, it just outputs dozens of control signals so that you can control the rest of your modular synth. That being said...
You can clock this with standard triggers for clock advance/reset like any other sequencer, or you can send it a CV input (ramp for normal operation, sawtooth for reverse, triangle for pendulum, S&H for random steps) to control it via an external oscillator.
It outputs a gate signal for each step (1-16) above the knob banks, and below the knob banks there are switches for the two programmable pulse banks (A/B.) Each step can send a pulse to either A, B, or neither.
Each row has the customary CV and Gate outputs to control the oscillators, filters, envelopes, waveshapers, or even other analog sequencers. You have a modular synth if you're looking at this (I hope) so you know that you can send any of the 26 outputs of this sequencer to nearly anything in your modular system.
There is also a "kybd" control built in to allow you to step through the sequence via a Serge TKB. If you have a TKB, you know how this works."
