"Embedded Software Engineer Needed!
Dave Smith Instruments is looking for an entry-level software engineer to join our team.
Requirements/experience:
Embedded C programming, ideally with the PIC processor family
Assembly language
Audio DSP, ideally with Sharc processors
Deep understanding of music synthesizers is essential!
Hardware knowledge in both digital and analog circuits
DSI is a very small company and we do not have a Human Resources department or a even a a full-time HR person. As such, we will not be responding to applications unless we are interested in talking with you. Please do not apply if you do not already know a lot about synthesizers! Also, we cannot compete with other larger tech companies in salaries and we are looking for entry-level applicants, so please keep that in mind. We will only consider local candidates who are able to work at our office in San Francisco.
All that being said, it's a great opportunity for the qualified, motivated candidate and we have fully paid medical and a great working environment. Please send your resumé and current salary."

How awesome would this be?!? I myself have got a few of the skills they're asking for, and I've got the love. What I don't have is the desire to move to S.F.
ReplyDeleteIt would be awesome if they'd open source some of their firmware. Then, we could hack the Prophet. I don't own one right now simply because I can't bend it to my will. If it were open source, I'd be all over it.
