"I am selling my PAIA drummer boy that I have owned for two years. I recently had Scott from PAIA look over this and service it for me to get it back to perfect working condition. This is a fantastic collectors item and I am sad to see it go. It is missing one of its rubber feet but other than that it is in immaculate condition with only some tiny surface scratches that are hardly visible. I have sampled it on a number of my tracks. You can see Scott testing the actual unit for sale in this video before he sent it back to me. I have also made a PAIA modular, which still gives me great joy to use.

These are very rare units and I have only seen a couple come up on ebay in the past. Moby believes this is his favourite drum machine and he has one of the best drum machine collections around. You can get great 808 sounds and some of the rhythms you can make combining the different presets are fantastic. It also allows you to program the different sounds by selecting which sound will replace the snare hit for example.

Also this blog discuss the Drummer Boy.

And this video of Moby in his studio [here] where he discusses the drummer boy"
