"17.07.2012 we presented an installation, developed by Russian sound-artist ::vtol::The installation is called ::vtol:: DNA_SA - and it is a tribute to world-wide Sound-Art community. The core idea is that each day one of the sound-artists from different part of the World plays his live-set via internet to the exhibition space.
DNA_SA - is 20 independent sound channels which are routed algorithmically through PureData-patch and are modulated by Nord-Modular and custom DIY devices.
It is also a 5 meter height sculpture of DNA-molecule with 20 speakers around the person who can tweak controllers using different algorithms of space.
We aslo decide to make open call for composers and sound artists to write special 20 channel compositions than will be downloaded to installation server and played at last day of exhibition.
