KORG 707 Vintage Digital FM Synth SN 000513

When you think of FM synthesis you typically think of Yamaha and Casio's Phase Distortion synthesis. If you remember from this post, neither were actually FM synthesis?  What was KORG's method?

Update via MrLonghair in the comments: "Korg simply licensed use of the YM2164 for the DS8 and the 707. There's an FB01 in there basically, not a bad machine if you get it for the right price and need the cheesiest of neck-less all-in-one keytar action."
