A Patch A Day, No. 34

Published on Jun 11, 2013 Hamilton Ulmer·35 videos

"This patch was an experiment in allowing a slow-trigger cycle to modulate the pitch of several oscillators.

Here, I used a handful of oscillating sources, and attenuated / inverted the cycle to have each one arrive at a different part of a nice chord.

The pile-on of the fundamental frequency is a little intense. In hindsight I should have had it attenuated at the bottom of the envelope, and crescendo to the splaying o the notes. This sort of thing is much easier to do when you're singing."
