"Roland MC-202 on homemade tape loop. The 202 is providing the notes which comprise all the sound you're hearing! I play the notes one by one into the record deck (the Tascam on the left; the audience hears the output from the handheld on the right), so the set started with an empty loop and built into what you're hearing in the video. It's a sound on sound tape loop which bypasses the erase head, so each note sticks around until it's drowned out by new notes, which takes awhile / can be controlled by the performer. There's also a backing track which consists of more loops at lower volume on the floor Tascam."
