PT-Audio Dual Digital Oscillator demo

Published on Jul 5, 2013 Stephen Drake·38 videos

"*WARNING* - most of this video features audio direct from this digital oscillator, some of which has LOTS of high frequency content - set your monitor/headphone levels safely!

This is a demo of some of the features and abilities of the PT-Audio Dual Digital Oscillator. This is a deep module - even at 22 minutes I only scratch the surface of what it can do. In actual usage, attach some envelope generators or slopes to the various cv inputs, and magic starts to happen!

This isn't a commercially available device, currently. If you have synth DIY skillz, you can build one now, or possibly find someone who will build one for you. For more on this device, see http://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=70449 or possibly http://synthcube.com/

The sounds at the beginning of the video are the DDO being driven by the Klee sequencer, and going through an Eventide Space, nothing else involved. Once I start the mode demos, the Klee and the Space are taken out of the signal, all you're hearing is the DDO directly. Only other modules used are a MOTM 390 LFO and a CVP to raise the lfo signal so it's all positive voltages.

Sorry about the excessive length of this video - I was having too much fun playing with the various modes - I thought I could get it all in under 10 minutes, but it didn't work out that way."
