Looping with a Ditto and a Prophet12

Published on Sep 11, 2013 Phoenix-Flare·39 videos

"Really enjoying the wide range of sounds on the Prophet so trying some improvised looping using a TC Electronics Ditto Looper which has no features but a lovely clear sound. Using all my own patches on the Prophet today - dead easy to program.
Synths are funny things - they do have such distinct sounds even though they have similar waveforms and filters in concept. I was trying to program some of my favourite Nord Wave sounds into the Prophet to get something similar - but couldn;t get anything similar at all. The Nord can sound very smooth and silky, but The Prophet always seem to sound aggressive. I think I managed to make a few softer sounds this time. oh well - I suppose I'll just have to keep all these different synths as they don't sound the same. Main problem is going out giging - I'm too lazy to take more than 1 or 2."
