"A quick test of our recently acquired and restored CS80. There's an interesting history behind this instrument in that it was reportedly given (yes, given) to Jeff Wayne by David Essex and used on Jeff's War Of The Worlds album.
At some point after the album it developed various faults (we think it was dropped from a truck) and was placed in storage for many years. By the time we acquired it, it was in a very bad state so we had synth-tech par excellence, Kent Spong, painstakingly bring it back to life.
This is a quick test featuring the new ribbon strip in Sustain Mode 1."
