"MOOG (Realistic) MG-1 All keys, switches, pots, etc work perfectly. Synth is calibrated and sounds like it should. Its has some little marks and scratches that show its age and character (see pictures). That being said, the "polyphonic" section (which is the cheesiest thing Moog ever did) has been modified. The octave dividers in these MG's fail and that causes lost notes in the poly section. And worse, Moog derived the trigger from the keyed poly section. So, way back when, I fixed the missing poly spots by jumping working sections to dead sections. That means the actual synthesizer works flawlessly but the poly section (controlled in the mixer) doesn't. I never considered this a short coming and never invested in the rare ICs to make the poly section work. I had always intended to mod an external audio in and use the poly mixer pot, but never did. It is the "synth" sounds I always used this for and the VCOs and Filter sound like candy. Another problem with these units was the "foam goo" syndrome. Many years ago I removed the foam and subsequent goo from this synth. This synth is ready to play right out of the box."
