via the seller: "This is rare in several ways. First, it is a very early model (serial number is 00012) and second is it has the rare SSM filter. Later models used Curtis chip filters. It is highly thought that the SSM filters sounded better (I have used both and agree). This has a very smooth analog sound to it. Rich pads and very sharp basses. This is also rare in that it's one of the only ones I've seen available that seem to work. Everyone seems to sell them as "I have no idea if it works", or "Untested. Doesn't make a sound". I replaced the internal battery and loaded the original factory presets in it so you should be good to go. The battery should last for a good number of years to come."
