Be sure to turn this one up! Listen on a system with good bass for some of the lower frequencies. Part 2 with louder volume below followed by some pics.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Evaton Technologies prototype RF eurorack module. This is my first go with the module. Please note this is not a musical demo and not a formal demo of the module. I just fired it up, loved what I heard and decided to record it. The RF is a voltage-controlled sideband shortwave receiver. Knobs include "RF Gain" to control the RF signal level, "Tuning" to control the RF frequency, "CV Amount" applied to "Tuning", and "Audio Gain" for the overall output level. All you hear is the RF with some light chorus and reverb. I bring the volume in with the Mattson Mini Modular JP filter. Once it's open it's 100% RF producing all the timbres you hear. I apply CV modulation of the RF Tuner with a Mattson Mini Modular dual LFO, first with the lower rate LFO and then with the higher rate which essentially morphs the RF modulation into audio range for some interesting timbres. At 2:08 that's the RF Tune knob adjusting the sound, not a filter. I also adjust the skew of the incoming Mattson LFO shape (right knob) at 2:50 which gives the effect of adjusting pitch. The only tweaking is what you see as I'm holding the camera with my right hand. I'm curious how it will respond to sequencers and other modulation sources and I'm curious how it will act as a modulation source itself for other modules. This module excels at picking up strange noises from sub oceanic bass to interstellar space. The drawing of the Octopus and the Space Monkey suddenly make sense. I get it and I love this module.

You might want to lower your volume levels for the following video.  Dry signal until 1:23, then some chorus and reverb added.
