"Andy Summers of The Police demos some of his guitar effects and early Roland GR300Guitar Synth to Jools Holland. This was around 1981 during the recording of the Ghost in The Machine album. A rare blues jam with a slide solo starts near the 4 minute mark. Check my other videos for some of my bands live stuff."

via this auction for a Roland GR300 Analog Guitar Synthesizer with G-202 guitar

"Complete Roland GR300 Guitar Synth setup (Vintage, 1981, made in Japan).
Rare chance to pick up the whole set in one package.

Includes:
-Roland GR300 Polyphonic Analog Guitar Synthesizer, 240v
-Roland G-202 Guitar
-Roland 24-pin cable
-Roland GR hard shell guitar case

The guitars were made in the famous Fujigen factory (who made the high end Greco and Ibanez guitars among others)

Owned and used Pat Methany (the well known Pat Methany tone is the GR300), Andy Summers (The Police), Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and others. Very unique and recognisable sound, incredible tracking. The guitar can be used like a standard guitar, or as a controller for the Synth with the 24-pin cable."
