Music Thing Mikrophonie Modular

Published on Jun 4, 2014 Robin Rimbaud-Scanner·47 videos

"New sonic adventures with Mikrophonie by Music Thing Modular/Tom Whithwell, with a very easy way to bring environmental noise and feedback into a modular system, inspired by the early days of electroacoustic music in Paris and Cologne.

Here I am running a TipTop BD808 Bass Drum sequenced from TipTop Trigger Riot, processed through Audio Damage Dub JR. The Clock is sent to the FM input of the Synthesis Technology Morphing Terrarium e350, which is sent through a Qu-Bit Electronix RT60 reverb, and then modulated by hand too. The Mikrophonie is played by hand drumming on the piezo contact mic connected to the module, triggering a Make Noise STO, passed through the TipTop Z2040 LP-VCF and TipTop Z-DSP VC Digital Signal Processor with the Halls of Valhalla card inserted. All of which is mixed into the Intellijel Mutamix/Linix.

All recorded live with no editing."
